These Terms govern your access to and use of the website at theadversarysmind.org and everything offered through it — the digital books and lab workbooks, the free AI Audit tool, downloadable samples, and product waitlists (together, the "Services"), operated by Dhananjai Sharma ("we", "us"). By buying a product, using the AI Audit, or joining a waitlist, you agree to these Terms.
1. What we offer
We sell downloadable digital books and their companion lab workbooks — currently The Adversary's Mind and its Lab Workbook, and Breaking AI and its Lab Workbook — individually and in bundles. We also provide the AI Audit, a free browser-based self-assessment, and email waitlists for products in development (DVLA and The Injection Tester). Products and prices may change; the price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your order.
2. Licence to use the books
When you buy a book or workbook, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and read it for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, share, sub-licence, publish, or post the files or substantial extracts, except for brief quotations in a review. The copyright notice inside each file forms part of these Terms.
3. Authorized-use and acceptable use
Our materials teach offensive-security and AI red-teaming techniques for one purpose: to test and defend systems you own or are explicitly authorized in writing to test. You agree to use everything you learn only against your own lab, your own equipment, or targets that have invited you in (for example a bug-bounty or red-team programme, or a sanctioned practice range). Unauthorized access to computers, networks, models, or applications is illegal in most jurisdictions and may carry criminal and civil liability. You alone are responsible for your actions, and you agree to comply with all laws that apply to you.
4. The AI Audit tool
The AI Audit runs entirely in your browser. It is provided free and "as is", for general informational and self-assessment purposes only. It is not legal advice, a certification, a conformity assessment, or a guarantee of security or regulatory compliance. Regulatory references (including EU AI Act dates) may be provisional and can change; verify them against official sources and, where stakes are high, involve qualified counsel.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases. Your payment is subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms in addition to ours, and applicable taxes may be added at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details.
6. Refunds
Because the products are downloadable digital goods, our refund terms are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: if you have not yet downloaded a file, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
All Services are provided for educational purposes and on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the materials are error-free or that the AI Audit will identify every risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use or misuse of the Services; and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.
8. Intellectual property
All content, text, code, designs, and the books and tools are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Third-party names, standards, and tools (for example OWASP, MITRE ATLAS, and the tools referenced in the labs) are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and educational purposes only.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "last updated" date will reflect the revision. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live.
